The propel pumps have two ports that can be used to manually bypass the propel pumps in order to tow the machine at slow speed.

  1. Loosen each lock ring (1). Turn each valve (2) for three turns in a counterclockwise direction. There are two valves on each of the pumps.

  1. Turn the knobs (4) in a clockwise direction in order to allow the oil to flow into the parking brakes. Turn the knobs until the knobs are finger tight.

  1. Use the hand pump (5) that is located on the parking brake valve by the hydraulic tank. Pump the hand pump until the gauge (3) shows 2068 kPa (300 psi) in order to release the parking brakes.

  1. After the machine has been towed to a safe location, engage the parking brake system on the machine. Turn knobs (4) in a counterclockwise direction until the knobs are finger tight. Turn valves (2) in a clockwise direction until the valves are tight. Tighten each lock ring (1) .

  1. Perform a test of the braking system. See this Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Braking System - Test" topic, for the proper procedure.
