Start By:

  1. Remove the tow arm. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Tow Arm - Remove and Install".

Personal injury or death can result from servicing the drive belt.

The tractor must be on a hard, level surface before the drive belt is removed or personal injury or death could occur.

  1. Remove the bolts and bracket (1) from the machine.

  2. Remove bolts (3) and plate (2).

  3. Raise the machine and install Tooling (A) under the machine, as shown.

  4. Purge the track tension system. Refer to Testing and Adjusting, "Accumulator - Test and Charge" in order to release the hydraulic oil pressure in the accumulator.

  5. Install blocks under belt (4) in order to support the belt.

  6. If necessary, apply Tooling (B) in order to aid in the removal of tire assembly (5) from belt (4). Remove nuts (6). Attach a suitable lifting device to tire assembly (5) and remove the tire assembly. The weight of tire assembly (5) is approximately 51 kg (112 lb).

  7. Remove nuts (7). If necessary, apply Tooling (B) to belt (4) and tire assembly (8) in order to aid in the removal of tire assembly (8) from belt (4).

  8. Attach Tooling (C) and a suitable lifting device to tire assembly (8). Remove tire assembly (8) from belt (4). The weight of tire assembly is approximately 110 kg (242 lb).

  9. Use a suitable lift truck and remove the blocks from belt (4). Use a suitable lift truck and remove belt (4) from the machine. The weight of the belt is approximately 272 kg (600 lb).
