Engine Starting

Personal injury or death can result from sudden machine movement. Sudden movement of the machine can cause injury to persons on or near the machine. To prevent injury or death, make sure that the area around the machine is clear of personnel and obstructions before operating the machine. |

NOTICE |

Do not crank the engine for more than 30 seconds. If the engine does not start, allow the starter to cool for two minutes before cranking again. The engine start switch must be turned to the OFF position before trying to restart. |

- Move propel control (1) to the MEDIUM position.
- Engage the parking brake knob (3).
- Turn the transmission control switch (2) to the NEUTRAL position.

- Press the switch for the glow plug (5) for 20 seconds in order to heat the glow plugs.
Note: If the engine is already warm from previous operation, the glow plugs do not need to be heated.
- Briefly sound the horn before you start the engine.
- Crank the engine by turning key (4) to the START position. When the engine starts, release the key. Leave propel control (1) to the NEUTRAL position in order to allow the engine and the machine to warm-up properly.
