Connection Procedure

Personal injury or death can result from machine articulation or movement. Machine frames can move and a person can be crushed. Connect the steering frame lock between the front and rear frames before working on the machine. Before operating the machine, place the steering frame lock in the stored position. Failure to place the steering frame lock into the stored position before operating can result in loss of steering.

1. Move the machine to a hard, level surface. Park the machine in the straight ahead position and engage the parking brake.

2. Remove pin (3) and pin (1).

3. Remove retainer pin (4) and pin (2).

4. Move steering frame link (5) into position in the front frame. Install pin (2) and retainer pin (4).

5. Install pin (1) and pin (3).

2. Remove retainer pin (4) and pin (2).

3. Move steering frame link (5) to the storage position. Install pin (1) and pin (3).

4. Install pin (2) and retainer pin (4).
