The front axle consists of the following components: axle beam (5), two flange assemblies (1), two knuckle assemblies (2), two kingpins (3), two tie rods (4) and hydraulic steering cylinder (6) .
The flange assemblies (1) rotate on the knuckle assemblies (2) with two opposing tapered roller bearings. Tighten the adjusting nut until the Flange has a slight bind. Then, back off the adjusting nut to the nearest locking hole in order to set the end play.
Two bearings are pressed into each spindle assembly (2) and assembled onto the axle (5) with kingpins (3).
The hydraulic steering cylinder (6) is bolted to the axle. The steering cylinder is connected to the arms of the spindles through two adjustable tie rods (4).
