Note: The dimension for callout (1) is measured with the handle (A) in the engaged position. This is an initial adjustment.

(1) The distance from the bottom of the pin to the bottom surface of the assembly ... 120 ± 3 mm (4.72 ± 0.12 inch)

(2) Tighten the three 8S-4734 Bolts to the following torque. ... 122 ± 14 N·m (90 ± 10 lb ft)

(3) During the adjustment procedure, tighten the nut (3) to the following torque. ... 60 to 75 N·m (44 to 55 lb ft)

Note: The handle (A) must be in the disengaged position and the lever (5) must be in the horizontal position in order to tighten the nut (4) .

(4) During the adjustment procedure, tighten the nut to the following torque. After you tighten nut (4), turn the nut (4) counterclockwise for 5/6 turn and check that the disc is free to move. This must be performed before you tighten nut (3). ... 12 ± 2 N·m (106 ± 18 lb in)

After the adjustment procedure is completed use the following torques.

Tighten nut (4) to the following torque. Make sure that the brake pads contact the disc. Turn nut (4) counterclockwise by 5/6 turn. ... 13 N·m (9.6 lb ft)
Tighten nut (3) to the following torque. ... 61 to 75 N·m (45 to 55 lb ft)

(5) Maximum rotation of the brake assembly lever ... 45°

(6) Tighten the mounting bolts for the bracket to the following torque. ... 44 to 51 N·m (32 to 38 lb ft)

(7) Dimension between the nut and the sleeve ... 0.25 to 1.52 mm (0.0098 to 0.0598 inch)

(8) Tighten the nut to the following torque. ... 150 N·m (110 lb ft)

The brake assembly accommodates a 10 mm (0.39 inch) disc.
