CID 0444 FMI 03 Start Relay short to +batt
Conditions Which Generate This Code:
The ECM detects the following condition:
- There is a short circuit to a voltage source in the circuit for the start relay.
System Response:
The ECM will log the diagnostic code. The diagnostic code may be viewed on a display module or on the Caterpillar Electronic Technician (Cat ET).
- The engine will not crank.
Test Step 1. Perform the following diagnostic procedure: Start Relay Circuit - Test

- OK - STOP
