Oil Filter (Power Train Charging System) - Replace
Reference: Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Cab Tilting" for the correct procedure.
- Use a strap type wrench to remove the oil filter. Dispose of the used oil filter properly.
Note: The oil filter for the 564 and 574B Forwarders is on the left side. The oil filter for the 554 Forwarder is on the right side.

The oil filter for the 564 and 574B Forwarders is shown. | |
- Remove all of the used gasket from the filter mounting base.
- Apply clean hydraulic oil to the gasket of the new oil filter.

- Install the new filter by hand. When the gasket contacts the filter mounting base, tighten the filter by an additional 3/4 turn.
- Operate the machine for a few minutes. Check for leaks. Check the oil level of the hydraulic oil tank.

- Lower the cab and close the hood.
