A new 251-1134 Recoil Alarm Kit that can be field installed by the dealer or customer has been released for use on the Challenger Agricultural Tillage Tractor. The system monitors undercarriage tensioning cylinder pressure and displays recoil system position. In addition, the recoil alarm will monitor and record excessive recoil events and engine overspeed conditions.
The belt recoil alarm has been primarily designed to help reduce instances of material ingestion, belt untracking, and belt tearing when the machine is being operated in construction applications. Through feedback received from the belt recoil alarm system, the operator will be alerted to conditions that may lead to undercarriage damage. The belt recoil alarm should be promoted to customers that are currently experiencing recoil related problems and customers that have experienced problems in the past.
