  1. Insert a data card into a personal computer (PC) or a laptop computer.

  1. Delete all files from the data card.

  1. Place the "CAESbasic Software" CD into the CD drive of the computer.

The Setup program should automatically start. If not, run "setup.exe".

  1. Click the "Explore CAESbasic" CD option.

  1. Browse to the "CAESbasic 5.01" folder.

  1. Run "Upgrade.exe".

The "WinZip Self-Extractor" dialog will appear.

  1. Click "Browse" in order to select the drive that is used by the data card (for example, "E:\").

  1. Click "Unzip" in order to extract the files.

The following five files for the "MS Series firmware" upgrade are unzipped and copied to the data card:

    • "Oemapp.exe"

    • "Pan153.elf"

    • "PanFlashCE.exe"

    • "MS Firmware Release Notes.pdf"

    • "Readme.txt"

The software file will be one of the following files depending on nationality:

    USA - "CAESbasic V5.01 USA.SG1"

    Spanish - "CAESbasic V5.01 ESP.SG1"
