An improved method for managing PL522 activation has resulted in decreased wait times for first report of an asset in Vision Link. The connection process of the PL522 to the Vision Link system is streamlined to less than 3 hours where cellular coverage is sufficient. An improve PDI process is also created to assist in removing backlogged data stored on the PL522 memory.
Procedure For Activating Product Link In The Vision Link System
- Start the Product Link registration and subscription activation process when starting the PDI process.
- After 60 minutes into the machine PDI process, turn the key switch to the ON position and keep the key switch in the ON for another 30 minutes. Apply a safety label to the machine to remind all about the keyswitch ON status.
- In Vision Link, if the asset status is showing location and machine hours, go to Step 5.
