Assembly Procedure

Note: Cleanliness is an important factor. Before assembly, all parts should be thoroughly cleaned in cleaning fluid. Allow the parts to air dry. Wiping cloths or rags should not be used to dry parts. Lint may be deposited on the parts which may cause later trouble. Inspect all parts. If any parts are worn or damaged, use new parts for replacement.

1. Install screen (21), O-ring seal (22), and fitting (23).

2. Install O-ring seal (17), backup ring (15), O-ring seal (13), backup ring (11), backup ring (16), O-ring seal (14), and backup ring (12) from valve (19).

3. Install cartridge assembly (19). Tighten cartridge assembly (19) to a torque of 24 ± 3 N·m (18 ± 2 lb ft).

4. Install coil assembly (18) and nut (20). Tighten nut (20) to a torque of 5.3 ± 1.5 N·m (47 ± 13 lb in).

5. Install plug (9) and O-ring seal (10).

6. Install O-ring seal (7), O-ring seal (6), and backup ring (5) on valve (8) and install valve (8).

7. Install O-ring seal (2), O-ring seal (3), and backup ring (4) on valve (1) and install valve (1).

End By:

1. Install the control manifold. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Control Manifold (Pilot) (Differential Lock) - Install".
