Description of Change: New turbocharger groups have been released. A new oil seal is used on the turbine side to eliminate oil leakage. This improvement will prevent the seepage of oil and of soot from the turbine housing. Seepage from the joint may have occurred under extended light load operation.

Adaptable To: The new turbocharger groups are a direct replacement for the previous turbocharger groups.

Table 1 lists the old turbochargers that are canceled and replaced by the new turbochargers.

The previous turbocharger group can be reworked to the new configuration by any of the certified Caterpillar Service Centers that are listed below.
