The Electronic Control Module (ECM) detects the signal voltage for the injection actuation pressure sensor above normal. This code is not detected by the ECM during cold mode operation.
System Response:
Electronic System Response The ECM will assume that the injection actuation pressure is 17.5 MPa (2538 psi). The control valve for the "Injection Actuation Pressure System" is set to a fixed position. The fuel delivery is limited.
Service Tool Display or Lamps Caterpillar Electronic Technician (ET) will display 17.5 MPa (2538 psi) next to "Desired Injection Actuation Pressure" and "Actual Injection Actuation Pressure"on the status screen while the diagnostic code is active. The Check Engine Lamp will illuminate.
Engine Response The engine will run rough at idle. Power output will be below normal and the vehicle speed will be limited to 72 km/h (45 mph).
