Care must be taken to ensure that fluids are contained during performance of inspection, maintenance, testing, adjusting and repair of the product. Be prepared to collect the fluid with suitable containers before opening any compartment or disassembling any component containing fluids. Refer to Special Publication, NENG2500, "Caterpillar Tools and Shop Products Guide" for tools and supplies suitable to collect and contain fluids on Caterpillar products. Dispose of all fluids according to local regulations and mandates. |
- Attach Tooling (A) in the holes for bolts (10) and (13). Attach a suitable lifting device to Tooling (A) and position the radiator group to the machine. The weight of the radiator group is approximately 118 kg (260 lb).

- Install bolts (15) in order to secure the radiator group to the machine. Remove Tooling (A) and install bolts (10) and (13) .
- Connect hose (14), hose (12), and hose (11) to the radiator group.
- Connect hose (9) and hose (8) to the radiator group.

- Connect hose assemblies (6) and hose assemblies (5). Install clips (7) .

- Install bolts (3) in order to attach guard (4) to the radiator group.

- Install bolts (1) in order to attach guards (2) to the radiator group.
- Raise the bottom guard. For additional information, refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Bottom Guard Lowering".
- Fill the cooling system. Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Cooling System Coolant (ELC) - Change" or Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Cooling System Coolant (DEAC) - Change". The capacity of the cooling system is approximately 50 L (13 US gal).
