Fuel Tank Cap and Strainer - Clean

Personal injury or death can result from a fire. Fuel leaked or spilled onto hot surfaces or electrical components can cause a fire. Clean up all leaked or spilled fuel. Do not smoke while working on the fuel system. Turn the disconnect switch OFF or disconnect the battery when changing fuel filters. |

- Remove fuel tank cap (1) .
- Remove filler screen (2) .
- Wash the filler screen (2) in clean, nonflammable solvent. Dry the filler screen with pressure air.
- Inspect cap (1) and filler screen (2). Replace the cap if the cap is damaged. Replace the filler screen if the filler screen is damaged.
- Install filler screen (2) .
- Install fuel tank cap (1) .
