Engine Oil Level - Check

Usage:

Hot oil and hot components can cause personal injury. Do not allow hot oil or hot components to contact skin.



NOTICE

Do not under fill or overfill engine crankcase with oil. Either condition can cause engine damage.


Refer to the Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Access Doors and Covers" for the location of the service points.

Clean the area around the dipstick and clean the area around the oil filler cap before you remove the dipstick and before you remove the oil filler cap.

  1. Open the left side engine compartment door.

  2. Before starting the engine, check the "ENGINE STOPPED" side of dipstick (1). Maintain the oil level between the "ADD" mark and the "FULL" mark.

  3. Remove oil filler cap (2). If necessary, add oil.

  4. Clean the oil filler cap and install the oil filler cap.

  5. Close the left side engine compartment door.
