Platform Tilting

Usage:

CS-423E ASH
In order to permit easy access of the hydraulic components and the mechanical components, the platform can be tilted forward.

  1. Open the engine compartment.

  1. Turn the battery disconnect switch to the OFF position. Remove the key.

  1. Remove the four mounting bolts (1) .

  1. Install two pivot pins (2) .

  1. Attach an appropriate lifting device to platform (3). Carefully raise the platform.

    Note: Refer to the Disassembly and Assembly, KENR3584, "Operator Platform - Tilt" for information on tooling.

    Note: An optional hydraulic pump is available to lift the platform. Refer to the Operation and Maintenance, "Cab Tilting" for information on the operation of this pump.

  1. Raise the platform and install two safety pins (4) .

  1. Carefully release the tension in the lifting device.

  1. In order to lower the platform, reverse the procedure for raising the platform.
