Event Codes
使用本节对生成了事件代码但没有当前诊断代码的问题进行故障诊断和排除。 生成事件代码时，该事件处于当前状态。 生成的任何代码都会记录在电子控制模块（ECM）的永久存储器中。
事件代码提醒操作员检测到发动机工作状况异常，如机油压力低或冷却液温度高。 这些事件并不涉及电子系统的故障。 事件代码还可说明问题的性质。 可在安装了卡特彼勒电子技师（ET）软件的个人计算机上查看事件代码。

图 1 说明了冷却液温度传感器的输出电压。 如果传感器的输出信号在 4.2 伏到 4.8 伏之间，则会生成一个冷却液温度高于正常值的事件代码。
可对发动机进行设置，以在某些应用场合执行以下操作：
- 发动机警告
- 发动机功率降低
- 发动机停机
可使用卡特彼勒 ET 开启和关闭这些功能的显示。 开启功能显示时，电子监控模块会显示这些功能，同时会有一个事件记录在 ECM 上。 关闭功能显示时，监控模块不会显示这些功能，但 ECM 仍会记录相应事件。
