NOTICE

Keep engine speed low until the engine oil pressure registers on the gauge. If it does not register within 15 seconds, stop the engine and investigate the cause before starting the engine again. Failure to do so can cause engine damage.

  1. Select low engine speed. This position is for idle.

  1. Check the panel for the monitoring system. If any problems are detected, make the necessary corrections. If there are any level 3 warnings, stop the engine immediately.

  1. Allow a cold engine to warm up at low idle for at least five minutes. Operate attachment controls in order to help speed the warm-up of the hydraulic oil and components.

  1. Test all the controls. Check the controls for proper operation.

  1. Cycle all controls. Allow warm oil to circulate through all cylinders and lines.

    Note: Observe the following recommendations:

    • Allow the engine to run for 15 minutes at temperatures above 0 °C (32 °F).

    • Allow the engine to run for 30 minutes at temperatures below 0 °C (32 °F).

    • Allow the engine to run for more than 30 minutes at temperatures below -18 °C (-0 °F).

    • Allow the engine to run for more than 30 minutes if hydraulic functions are sluggish.
