Description of Change: The new tooling will simplify the disassembly and the assembly of the planetary drive brake. The new tooling will reduce the possibility of damage to the bore of the brake piston. Step number 1 in the Disassembly and Assembly Manual demonstrates the use of a hydraulic press. The press is used to compress the springs that are under the retaining disc. If excessive force is applied to the plate for the brake retainer, damage to the bore of the brake piston housing may occur.

A change was made to the gearbox. The new change is not adaptable to all of the earlier models.
Rebuilding the Final Drive
Use a 1H-3107 Push-Puller Tool Gp. Use the tool to release the spring tension in the brake.
You can use the bolt holes that are used to hold the hydraulic motor in place to hold the Push Puller. M16x2.0 bolts are used to hold the drive motor.
