Engine Air Precleaner - Clean

When the debris in the precleaners reach the full level, empty the precleaners.

Service the engine air precleaners only when the engine is stopped. Engine damage could result. |
- Loosen the wing nut on each precleaner cover. Remove the precleaner covers.
- Remove the precleaner bowls. Empty the precleaner bowls.
- Clean the precleaner bowls.
The bowls may be cleaned by using the following methods:
- Air pressure
- Water pressure
- Detergent washing
After washing the bowls, dry the bowls completely.
- Inspect the precleaner bowls after you clean the bowls. If a bowl is damaged, replace the bowl.
- Reinstall the precleaner bowls. Reinstall the precleaner covers. Tighten the wing nut on each cover.
