Start By:
- Remove the output transfer gears. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Output Transfer Gears - Remove".

Be prepared to collect the fluid with suitable containers before opening any compartment or disassembling any component containing fluids. Dispose of all fluids according to local regulations and mandates. |

Personal injury or death can result from improper lifting or blocking. When a hoist or jack is used to lift any part or component, stand clear of the area. Be sure the hoist or jack has the correct capacity to lift a component. Install blocks or stands before performance of any work under a heavy component. Approximate weights of the components are shown. Clean all surfaces where parts are to be installed. |

Note: Cleanliness is an important factor. Thoroughly clean the exterior of the component before disassembly. Cleaning will prevent dirt from entering the internal mechanism.
- Drain the oil from the output transfer gears into a suitable container.
- Mount output transfer gears (1) on Tooling (A) , as shown. The weight of output transfer gears (1) is approximately 317 kg (700 lb).

- Remove bolts (5) in order to remove flanges (6) and cover (7) . Remove plug (4) and the O-ring seal. Remove bolts (2) in order to remove cover (3) and the O-ring seal from case (8) .
