Changing the Direction of the Machine

Illustration 1g00778534

The reverse pedal must be pressed in order for the machine to travel in reverse. The machine will always move forward unless the reverse pedal is pressed.

Press and hold the reverse pedal down. Press on the accelerator. The machine will move in reverse.

The reverse pedal can be depressed at any time. The reverse pedal can be depressed even if the machine is moving forward at full speed and the accelerator pedal is depressed. The IQAN computer system will slow down the machine. The machine will then stop. The machine will then begin to travel in reverse. This will not damage the machine.

Changing the Speed of the Machine

(1) Potentiometer (Maximum Machine Speed)

(2) Potentiometer (Minimum Engine Speed)

(3) Speed Selector Switch

The speed of the machine can only be changed while the machine is operating in roading mode. While the machine is in working mode, the machine is automatically placed into first speed.

Select the maximum speed of the machine by using the speed potentiometer (1). Start with a speed range between 30 and 40 percent. The potentiometer affects the maximum speed of the machine when the accelerator pedal is fully pressed.

560B and 580B Wheel Harvester

Speed selector switch (3) is used in order to change machine speeds. The 560B and 580B Wheel Harvester has three speeds. Press the top of the switch in order to shift up to a higher speed. Press the bottom of the switch in order to shift to a lower speed.

Illustration 3g00777534

The gear speed will be shown on the IQAN screen. Each of the three speeds operates the machine differently.

FIRST SPEED - Six wheel drive is only available in first speed. First speed also has the lowest machine speed. First speed is normally used when you are operating the machine in working mode. Using first speed is not recommended when you are operating the machine on the road.

SECOND SPEED - Press the top of the speed selector switch. The machine will then shift into second speed. The front travel motors will be neutralized automatically. The front travel motors will be allowed to free wheel. Second speed is not faster that first speed. Second speed only allows the two rear wheels to drive the machine. All wheel drive is only available when you are operating the machine in first speed.

THIRD SPEED - Press the top of the switch until third speed is indicated on the IQAN screen. It is not necessary to stop the machine before selecting third speed. When the machine is placed into third speed the machine speed doubles. Only the two rear wheels will continue to drive the machine. The front travel motors will be neutralized automatically. The front travel motors will be allowed to free wheel.

You may downshift the machine at any time without stopping. The IQAN computer system will automatically slow the machine before downshifting, if necessary.

550B and 570B Wheel Harvester

These machines are all wheel drive. The front drive motors cannot be disengaged.

Speed selector switch (3) is used in order to change gear speeds. These machines have only two speeds. Press the top of the switch in order to shift up to a higher gear. Press the bottom of the switch in order to shift to a lower gear.

When you shift into second speed, the speed of the machine doubles.
