Modifications that Reduce Restrictions in the Air Cleaner are Available {1051, 5056, 5056}

Usage:

CB-334D 3JZ
Vibratory Compactor:
CB-334D (PIN: 3JZ1-UP)
CB-335D (PIN: 5PZ1-UP)
Paving Compactor:
CB-334D (PIN: 4CZ1-UP)
CB-335D (PIN: BBW1-UP)

Description of Change: The air intake hose can be rerouted in order to reduce the chance of a restricted hose. The existing hydraulic tank breather can be replaced with a remote mounted breather. The remote mounted breather will reduce the amount of oil mist that is drawn into the air cleaner. The remote mounted breather will increase the service life of the filter element.

Adaptable To: The modifications to the air intake system are effective with machines with the following serial numbers (S/N: 3JZ211; 4CZ469; 5PZ455; BBW280). This change is adaptable to machines with the following serial numbers (S/N: 3JZ1-210; 4CZ1-468; 5PZ1-454; BBW1-279).

  1. Replace the existing hose on the inlet side of the air cleaner assembly with the new hose (2). Use the existing clamp in order to attach the new hose to the air cleaner assembly. Use cable strap (3) in order to secure the hose to the link on the hydraulic tank.

  1. Remove the existing hydraulic tank breather. Replace the existing hydraulic tank breather with reducer bushing (4) and nylon insert (5) .

  1. Use hose clamp (7) in order to connect hose (6) to the nylon insert (5) .

    Note: The hose will collapse if the cable straps are too tight.

  1. Use cable strap (3) in order to secure the hose to the link on the hydraulic tank.

  1. Use hose clamp (7) in order to connect hose (6) to breather (8) .

  1. Use cable strap (3) in order to secure the breather to the link on the hydraulic tank.
