Rock the switch and release the switch in order to inject a metered amount of ether.

Inject ether ONLY while cranking the engine. Use the ether sparingly. Excessive ether can cause piston and ring damage. Use ether for cold starting purposes only. See the Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Starting Below 0°C (32°F) with Ether Starting Aid" for further information. |
Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Ether Starting Aid Cylinder - Replace" in order to change the ether starting aid cylinder.
