Dumping the Load with the Machine Moving

  1. Clear the area of personnel and obstructions before dumping. If a spotter is present, follow the spotter's directions.

  1. Position the machine straight ahead before dumping the load. Ensure that all the wheels are in contact with firm ground.

  1. Move the transmission control to the desired gear. Move the parking and secondary brake control to the DISENGAGED position and drive the machine slowly forward. Press the transmission hold switch. The transmission will be prevented from upshifting above the selected gear. Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Transmission Control".

  1. Press the eject cycle button (1). When the ejector blade reaches full travel and the load has been dumped the ejector blade will automatically return to the retracted position.

Note: The thickness of the material is determined by the forward speed of the machine.

  1. Drive the machine away from the work area with care. Ensure that the ejector blade is fully retracted. The machine is now ready to receive another load.

Dumping the Load with the Machine Stopped.

  1. Clear the area of personnel and obstructions before dumping. If a spotter is present, follow the spotter's directions.

  1. Position the machine straight ahead before ejecting the load. Ensure that all the wheels are in contact with firm ground.

  1. Move the parking and secondary brake control to the ENGAGED position. Move the transmission control to the NEUTRAL position.

  1. Press the eject button (A). When the ejector blade reaches full travel and the load has been dumped the ejector blade will automatically return to the retracted position.

Note: It may be necessary to drive the machine in a forward direction after the load is ejected in order to prevent the tailgate from returning material back into the body.

  1. Move the transmission control to the desired gear. Move the parking and secondary brake control to the DISENGAGED position and drive the machine slowly away from the load. Ensure that the ejector blade is fully retracted. The machine is now ready to receive another load.

Interrupting the Eject Cycle.

The eject cycle can be interrupted at any time by pressing the stop button (3). After stopping the ejector blade, press button (2) in order to retract the ejector blade.

If material fails to clear the body fully, press the shuffle switch (4). This will move the ejector blade forward and backward in order to eject sticky material.

The shuffle facility can be selected at any time during the cycle.

Service Switch.

A service switch (5) is included in order to allow the operator to inch the ejector blade in a forward direction or a backward direction. The service switch has two positions. The service switch must first be pushed in. Turn the service switch in a clockwise direction in order to select service operation. Turn the switch in a counterclockwise direction in order to return to normal operation.

The ejector blade can be extended by using the eject button (1). The ejector blade can be retracted by using the retract button (2). Depress the button in order to move the ejector blade in the required direction. Release the button in order to stop the ejector blade.
