Engine Starting
If a warning tag is attached to the engine start switch or to the controls, do not start the engine. Also, do not move any controls.
Move the transmission control to the NEUTRAL position before you start the engine.
Move the parking and secondary brake control to the ENGAGED position before you start the engine.
Diesel engine exhaust contains products of combustion which can be harmful to your health. Always start the engine in a well ventilated area. Always operate the engine in a well ventilated area. If you are in an enclosed area, vent the exhaust to the outside.
