Check of Electronic Control Module Using Signal Generator and Counter
The transmission electronic control (ECM) can be tested. The connecting solenoids and wiring harnesses can also be tested. To perform the test, operate the engine at LOW IDLE. All shift solenoids and wiring harnesses must operate correctly for good operation. These components are also checked during the dynamic test procedure.
