MID 036 - CID 0867 - FMI 05 Hyd Engine Retarder Valve Sol open/short to +batt
Conditions Which Generate This Code:
The Electronic Control Module (ECM) has been powered up for three seconds. The ECM detects a supply voltage that is greater than 9 VDC. The ECM detects an open circuit or a short to battery voltage in the valve for the hydraulic engine retarder.
System Response:
The CID-FMI is logged in memory. The CID-FMI may be viewed on a display module or the Caterpillar Electronic Technician (ET). The feature will be disabled.
Test Step 1. Perform the following test: Hydraulic Engine Retarder Valve
Results:
- OK - Stop.
- REPAIRED, OK - Stop.
