Installation Procedure

Keep all parts clean from contaminants. Contaminants may cause rapid wear and shortened component life. |
- Inspect O-ring seal (6) on spacer (5) for wear or damage. If the O-ring seal is worn or damaged, replace the O-ring seal.

- Put O-ring seal (6) in position on spacer (5) .
- Put spacer (5) in position on the engine.
- Inspect O-ring seal (4) on spacer (5) for wear or damage. If the O-ring seal is worn or damaged, replace the O-ring seal.

- Put O-ring seal (4) in position on spacer (5) .
- Put water pump (3) in position on the engine.
- Install nuts (2) that fasten water pump (3) to the engine. Tighten nuts (2) to a torque of 22 N·m (16 lb ft).

- Connect hose (1) to water pump (3) .
- Install the radiator hose and fill the cooling system with coolant to the correct level. Refer to the Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Refill Capacities" topic for more information.
- Put the V-belt in position on the engine. Slide the alternator away from the engine and tighten the bolts for the alternator.
