539 Knuckleboom Loader Machine Systems Caterpillar

Removal Procedure

Start By:

1. Release the pressure in the hydraulic system. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "System Pressure- Release" for the machine that is being serviced.

1. Remove four bolts (2) and cover (1) .

2. Disconnect electrical connections (5) and (9). Remove hose assembly (6). Disconnect hose assemblies (3), (4) and (8). Remove tube assembly (10) .

3. Remove four bolts (7) and the washers. Remove the valve from the cylinder.

4. Disconnect tube assembly (11) .

5. Attach suitable lifting slings and a hoist to the stabilizer cylinder.

6. Remove bolt (14), the washer and the spacer from pin (13). Remove pin (13) .

7. Remove bolt (13), the washer and the spacer from pin (12). Remove pin (12) .

1. Attach suitable lifting slings and a hoist to the stabilizer cylinder. Put the stabilizer cylinder in position in the machine.

2. Install pin (12), bolt (13) and the spacer.

3. Install pin (13), bolt (14), the washer and the spacer.

4. Install the valve, four bolts (7) and the washers.

5. Install tube assembly (10). Install hose assemblies (3), (4), (6) and (8). Connect electrical connectors (5) and (9) .

6. Install cover (1) and four bolts (2) .
