(2) Torque for eight bolts ... 1000 ± 125 N·m (740 ± 90 lb ft)

(3) Transmission case

(4) Female end

Note: The mounting surfaces for the bearing cap and the yoke should be clean prior to assembly.

Note: Tighten the bolts in an alternating X pattern.

Note: Orient the shaft with female end toward the torque converter/engine to minimize the risk of failure due to dirt ingression past the lip seal.
