Removal Procedure

NOTICE
Be sure that the machine is on level ground. Stop the engine and move the control lever so that the weight of the C-frame is supported by the wood block.

1. Support C-frame (1) on a wood block so that blade (2) is not setting on the ground.

2. Attach a lifting strap to tilt cylinder (3). Use a suitable lifting device to support the cylinder. Remove bolt (5) and the retainer.

3. Remove pin (4) and the shims.

4. Move tilt cylinder (3) aside. The weight of the cylinder is approximately 59.5 kg (131 lb).

5. Attach a suitable lifting device to blade (2) and support the blade.

6. Remove retaining bolt (5) and pin (6) .

7. Remove bolts (7), the retaining plates, spacer blocks, and shims (8) from each side of the blade. Remove the blade. The weight of the blade is approximately 908 kg (2000 lb).

Installation Procedure

1. The weight of the blade is approximately 908 kg (2000 lb). Attach a suitable lifting device to the blade and put the blade in position for installation.

2. Install the spacer blocks, shims (8), the retaining plates, and bolts (7) on each side of the blade.

3. Install pin (6) and retaining bolt (5) .

4. Attach a lifting strap to tilt cylinder (3) and move the cylinder into position on blade (2). The weight of the cylinder is approximately 59.5 kg (131 lb).

5. Install pin (4) and the shims. Install the retainer and bolt (5) .

6. Start the engine. Raise blade (2) until the C-frame is off the wood block. Remove the wood block and lower the blade to the ground.
