Disassembly Procedure

Start By:

1. Remove the retarder hydraulic control valve. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Retarder Hydraulic Control Valve - Remove". The information is in this manual.

1. Remove O-ring seals (2) , (3) , (4) and (5) from valve assembly (1) .

2. Remove four bolts (6) , wire clip (8) and plate (7) from valve assembly (1) .

3. Remove slug (10) , spring (9) and O-ring seal (11) from spool valve assembly (1) .

4. Remove four bolts (12) and cover (13) from valve body (14) .

5. Remove valve spool (15) , spring (16) and stop (17) as a unit from valve body (14) .

6. Remove spring (16) and stop (17) from valve spool (15) .

7. Remove bolt (20) , stop (19) and diaphragm (18) from the valve spool. Remove the hollow pin that is between the valve spool and diaphragm (18) .

8. Remove four bolts (21) , four bolts (22) , two half clamps (24) , two half clamps (23) , sensor housing (25) and the plugs from valve body (14) .
