Removal Procedure

1. Remove top (1) of the transmission selector lever.

2. Remove eight screws (2) .

3. Remove rear panel assembly (3) .

4. Remove one locknut (5) from the start switch.

5. Reposition front panel assembly (4) in order to access the connections that are located on the underside of the front panel.

6. Remove four screws (7), (8), (9), and (10) in order to disconnect four electrical connections.

   Note: Mark the electrical connections for installation purposes.

7. Remove start switch (6) .

Installation Procedure

1. Install start switch (6) .

2. Install four screws (7), (8), (9), and (10) in order to connect four electrical connections.

   Note: During installation, tighten the screws to a minimum torque of 1.6 N·m (1.18 lb ft).

3. Position front panel assembly (4) .

4. Install one locknut (5) on the start switch.

   Note: During installation, tighten nut (5) to a torque of 13.6 ± 4.0 N·m (10.03 ± 2.95 lb ft).

5. Install rear panel assembly (3) .

6. Install eight screws (2) .

   Note: During installation, tighten the screws to a torque of 9 ± 3 N·m (6.6 ± 2.2 lb ft).

7. Install top (1) of the transmission selector lever.
