Counterweight Sections - Remove and Install

Removal Procedure

  1. Loosen lock bolt (1) in order to remove the retaining rod at the front of the counterweight assembly. Remove the retaining rod.

  1. Use an appropriate lifting device and remove the six counterweights from the frame. The weight of an individual counterweight is 535 kg (1180 lb).

  1. Use an appropriate lifting device and remove the inside counterweight. The weight of the inside counterweight is 299 kg (659 lb).

  1. Use an appropriate lifting device and remove the five counterweights from the frame. The weight of an individual counterweight is approximately 430 kg (947 lb).

  1. Use an appropriate lifting device and remove the inside counterweight. The weight of the inside counterweight is approximately 299 kg (659 lb).

Installation Procedure

  1. Use an appropriate lifting device and install the inside counterweight at the rear of the counterweight assembly. The weight of the inside counterweight is approximately 299 kg (659 lb).

  1. Use an appropriate lifting device and install the five counterweights on the frame. The weight of an individual counterweight is approximately 430 kg (947 lb).

  1. Install the retaining rod in the rear of the counterweight assembly. Tighten lock bolt (2) .

  1. Use an appropriate lifting device and install the inside counterweight at the front of the counterweight assembly. The weight of the inside counterweight is 299 kg (659 lb).
