Escaping fluid under pressure, even a pinhole size leak, can penetrate body tissue, causing serious injury, and possible death. If fluid is injected into your skin, it must be treated immediately by a doctor familiar with this type of injury. Always use a board or cardboard when checking for a leak. |

- Check the oil level in the hydraulic tank. Slowly loosen the hydraulic tank filler cap in order to release any pressure. Then, remove the filler cap.
- Inspect all oil lines, all hydraulic connections, and the valves for leaks and for damage.
- Inspect the brake control linkages for any damage. Check the adjustments.
- Remove the filter elements and check for foreign material. Use a magnet to separate iron particles from other material. If any iron particles are found, a component in the brake system may be damaged. If a component is damaged, make the necessary repairs. Then, flush the hydrostatic system.
- Check the tightening torques of all bolts.
