Cab - Tilt

Usage:

D250E II 4PS
Park the machine on a level surface. Ensure that the parking brake is fully engaged. Lower the dump body and stop the engine.

The machine has a tilt cab. The tilt cab allows easier access to the following components:

  • The engine

  • The torque converter

  • The transmission

Raise the Cab

  1. Raise the hood. Remove eight bolts (1) and the washers. Remove hydraulic tank cover (2) .

  1. Remove bolt (3) and the washer.

  1. Remove three bolts (4) and the washers. Remove guard (5) .

  1. Remove four bolts (6) and the washers. Remove cover plate (7) .

  1. Remove center bolt (8) and the washer. Loosen two outer bolts (9). Remove step (10) .

  1. Remove spring clip (11) and remove pin (12) from the right front of the cab.

  1. Remove spring clip (13) and remove pin (14) from the left front of the cab.


    NOTICE

    Ensure that all lines and wires are clear of any obstructions before tilting the cab.

  1. Turn pump control (21) clockwise until the valve is fully closed. Position handle (15) into hydraulic hand pump (16) and operate the handle in order to raise the cab. The pump handle is stored in the toolbox.

  1. When the cab is raised, install pin (17) through the hole in cab support (18).

  1. Continue to raise the cab and install pin (19) through cylinder support (20). Turn the pump control (21) slowly in a counterclockwise direction in order to lower the cab and allow the cab to be supported by cylinder support (20). Turn pump control (21) clockwise. Remove handle (15) .

Lower the Cab

  1. Turn pump control (21) clockwise. Raise the cab sufficiently in order to allow pin (19) and pin (17) to be removed.

  1. Turn pump control (21) slowly in a counterclockwise direction in order to lower the cab. Remove handle (15) and return the handle to the toolbox.

  1. Install pin (14) and spring clip (13) into the left front of the cab.

  1. Install pin (12) and spring clip (11) into the right front of the cab.

  1. Position step (10). Install one bolt (8) and the washer. Tighten two bolts (9) .

  1. Position cover plate (7). Install four bolts (6) and the washers.

  1. Position guard (5). Install three bolts (4) and the washers.

  1. Install bolt (3) and the washer.

  1. Position hydraulic tank cover (2). Install eight bolts (1) and the washers.

  1. Lower the hood.
