Remove the safety chain from the harvester head and the yoke. The safety chain was used in order to hold the harvester head in the vertical position. The chain must be removed in order to operate the head.
Look under the harvester head and around the harvester head. Look for loose bolts, trash, tree limbs, oil leaks, worn parts, and broken parts. Inspect the condition of the attachments and the condition of the hydraulic components.
Check the level of the lubricating oil tank. See Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Lubrication System Oil Level - Check" for information on the level of the lubricating oil tank.
