The drain plug (1) is located on the bottom of the differential.
Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, "S·O·S Oil Analysis" and to Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Sampling Interval and Location of Sampling Valve" for information that pertains to obtaining an oil sample from the axle.
