Cab Air Filter - Clean/Replace

Clean Filters

Note: Clean the filter elements more often in dusty conditions. If there is a noticeable reduction in the airflow from the air vents, check the filter elements.

  1. Remove the filter cover for the external cab air filter. The filter cover is located on the left side of the operator compartment under the steps.

  1. Remove the filter elements. Clean the filter elements with compressed air. You can also wash the filter elements with a solution of warm water and of a nonsudsing household detergent.

    Do not wash the filter elements while the filter elements are installed on the machine.

    Do not spray water into the cab air filter when you are washing the machine.

  1. Rinse the filter elements in clean water. Air dry the filter elements thoroughly.

  1. Install the filter elements and replace the cover.

  1. Remove the filter cover for the internal cab air filter. Remove the filter elements. The filter elements are located near the left side of the operator seat.

    Note: Raise the operator seat in order to remove the filter elements.

  1. Clean the filter elements with compressed air. You can also wash the filter elements with a solution of warm water and of a nonsudsing household detergent.

  1. Rinse the filter elements in clean water. Air dry the filter elements thoroughly.

  1. Replace any filter elements that are worn or damaged.

  1. Face the seal toward the parking brake lever when you install the filter element.
