Failure to activate the hazard lights may cause improper indentification of the tractor, resulting in an accident and personal injury. Always use flashing hazard lights when traversing public roads and accesses to inform traffic of a slow-moving machine. |
Check all fluid levels before you road the machine.
Check the travel route for overhead clearance. Also check the travel route for proper width.
Fully raise the three-point hitch. Move the depth stop toward the rear. The depth stop should contact the front of the three-point hitch control lever. Tighten the knob on the depth stop. This helps prevent inadvertent movement of the three-point hitch control lever. Also, depress the rear portion of the three-point hitch raise/lower switch in order to put the hitch in the raise mode.
Install a slow moving vehicle sign on the rear of the machine. Only install the sign if local regulations permit the installation.
Use of work lamps when traversing public roads and accesses may cause an accident and personal injury by impairing the vision of approaching traffic and obscuring the flashing hazard lights. Only the "Head Lamps" position of the master light switch should be used when traversing roads. |
Rotate the master light switch to the HEADLIGHTS position.
When you tow equipment that weighs more than the machine and the equipment is not equipped with brakes, do not exceed 16 km/h (10 mph). Do not tow equipment that weighs more than two times the weight of the machine.
Reduce speed when you road a machine that is equipped with a full set of front counterweights.
Reduce speed if the directional stability of the machine is noticeably reduced.
When you tow drawbar implements, adjust the stops in order to prevent swing.
Note: When you road the machine, reduce the speed by downshifting the transmission. Do not reduce the speed by reducing the engine speed. Higher engine speeds maximize steering response.
