Start By:

  1. Connect the steering frame lock. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Steering Frame Lock - Separate and Connect".

Note: Cleanliness is an important factor. Before the disassembly procedure, the exterior of the component should be thoroughly cleaned. This will help to prevent dirt from entering the internal mechanism.

  1. Stop the machine so that the bucket is positioned flat on the ground.

  2. Attach a suitable lifting device to bucket tilt link (1). The weight of bucket tilt link (1) is approximately 54 kg (120 lb).

  3. Remove bolt (2), the washer, and the spacer from pin assembly (3).

  4. Attach a suitable lifting device to Tooling (A). The weight of Tooling (A) is approximately 34 kg (75 lb).

  5. Use Tooling (A) to remove pin assembly (3).

  6. Reposition the suitable lifting device on tilt link (1), as shown.

  7. Remove bolt (4), the washer, and the spacer from pin assembly (5).

  8. Use Tooling (B) in order to remove pin assembly (5).

  9. Use the suitable lifting device in order to remove bucket tilt link (1).

  10. Remove lip seals (6) from both sides of bucket tilt link (1). Repeat this step for the opposite end of the bucket tilt link (1).

  11. Use Tooling (C) in order to remove the bearing from bucket tilt link (1). Repeat this step for the opposite end of bucket tilt link (1).
