Hydraulic System Oil Filter (Tank Filter) - Replace

  • Open the access door on the right side of the cab platform.

    1. Remove hydraulic tank filler cap (1) slowly in order to relieve any tank pressure.

    1. Remove eight bolts (2) and filter cover (3) .

    1. Inspect the seal on the filter cover. Replace the seal if damage or wear is evident.

    1. Remove the two filter elements. Dispose of the used filter elements properly.

    1. Remove the filter screen.

    1. Wash the filter cover and the filter screen with a clean, nonflammable solvent.

    1. Install the filter screen, two new filter elements, filter cover (3), and bolts (2) .

    1. Install hydraulic tank filler cap (1) .

    1. Start the engine and operate the engine at low idle. Check the hydraulic system for leaks.

    1. Check the hydraulic oil level.

      Reference: Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Hydraulic Oil Level - Check" for the correct procedure.

    1. Close the access door.
