This Service Letter is only intended to be implemented at the wheel PCR or if the customer removes the wheels for other scheduled down time. Note: If wheel is cracked, refer to SEBF9368 "Procedure to Inspect and Repair the Front Wheels on 793-797 Off-Highway Trucks". Submit a claim as per the instructions in this Service Letter. To salvage a 1255938/">125-5938 or 2653191/">265-3191 Front Wheel when a crack is found on a wheel that has been removed at PCR refer to SEBF9368. If the wheel is salvaged, the grind process is a before failure repair and requires no parts. If the wheel is to be scrapped due to crack limitations per SEBF9368, this constitutes a failure and the wheel is covered. To salvage a 1255938/">125-5938 or 2653191/">265-3191 Front Wheel when a crack is found on a wheel that has been removed prior to PCR, refer to SEBF9368. Prior to PCR means customer/dealer removes as a matter of convenience or there is a failure mode other than a cracked wheel (i.e., duo cone seal, wheel bearing, etc). If the wheel is salvaged, the grind process is a before failure repair and requires no parts. If the wheel is to be scrapped due to crack limitations per SEBF9368, this constitutes a failure and the wheel is covered. |
