ACTION REQUIRED
The latest power train system software, implement system software, engine software and the Messenger software for the 16M Motor Grader need to be updated at the same time to ensure compatability between the steering system controls and to provide the greatest benefit. 1.) Flash the software that is listed in the Parts Needed table, or the latest software in SIS, on the appropriate ECMs. The supported languages in each Messenger software group are listed below: Group 1 - English, Portuguese, Spanish, French, German Group 2 - English, Portuguese, Danish, Finnish, Swedish Group 3 - English, Portuguese, Italian, Greek, Hebrew Group 4 - English, Portuguese, Russian, Arabic Group 5 - English, Portuguese, Romanian, Indonesian, Ukrainian Group 6 - English, Portuguese, Dutch, Norwegian, Slovenian Group 7 - English, Portuguese, Dutch, Chinese, Turkish 2.) In order to provide greater durability to drive train components, in the Transmission Chassis ECM configuration menu, configure the "Inching Pedal Neutralizer Enable Status" to "Enabled". 3.) In order to provide greater durability to drive train components, in the Engine ECM configuration menu, configure the "Engine Idle Speed Management Enable Status" to "Enabled". 4.) A factory password is required to enable the "Number of Available Engine Power Levels" configuration of the engine power level. In order to provide greater durability to engine and drive train components, obtain a factory password and enable the configuration. A window will indicate that there is a charge for the factory password. However, no charges will be invoiced for this factory password SEA on 16M models. Set the "Number of Available Engine Power Levels" setting to "6" which is the new "Optimum" power setting. |
