New Flow Divider Valve (Crossover Relief) Available {5097,6307}

Usage:

515 (4LR),
525 (1DN) Wheel Skidders;
517 (5WW),
527 (4NS) Track Skidders

Description of Change: A new flow divider valve for the grapple tongs is available for the machines listed. The new flow divider valve contains a bi-directional relief valve. The bi-directional relief valve allows the hydraulic oil to bypass the valve cartridge en route to the opposite cylinder. This helps keep the grapple tongs from "snapping" closed because there are now pressure relief valves both upstream and downstream of the grapple tongs. The new flow divider valve will absorb any hydraulic pressure spikes caused by external shock loading of the grapple.

Grapple (Typical Example)

(1) 126-3238 Valve.

Grapple (Typical Example)

(2) 144-6718 Grapple valve group.

Adaptable To: The new 178-0700 Flow Divider Valve (Crossover Relief) is a direct replacement for the 144-6718 Grapple Valve Group. The 178-0700 Flow Divider Valve (Crossover Relief) also replaces the former 126-3238 Valve (canceled). In order to replace the 126-3238 Valve (canceled) one 6V-8633 Connector and two 8T-5429 Elbows must be added. The new 178-0700 Flow Divider Valve (Crossover Relief) is effective with 515 (4LR715-Up), and 525 (1DN1959-Up) Wheel Skidders, and 517 (5WW234-Up) and 527(4NS268-Up) Track Skidders. The new 178-0700 Flow Divider Valve (Crossover Relief) is adaptable to first production for all of the machines listed.
