Fuel Filler Cap Requires Service {1273}

Usage:


D250E II (4PS),
D300E II (5KS) Articulated Trucks

The 7X-7700 Fuel Filler Cap used on the machines listed above requires servicing. This service is every 500 hours, or 3 months.

The service procedure is as follows:

1. Remove 7X-7700 Fuel Filler Cap and 9P-7121 Fuel Strainer from the Fuel Tank opening.

NOTE: Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, "General Hazard Information" for information on Containing Fluid Spillage.

2. Wash 9P-7121 Fuel Strainer in clean nonflammable solvent. Replace if damaged.

3. Dry the strainer and Install into the fuel tank opening.

4. Inspect 9X-8600 seal (4) for wear. Replace if damaged.

5. Remove Screws (1), filter assembly (2), drain valve (3) and gaskets.

6. Install new 9X-2205 Filter Kit to 7X-7700 Fuel Filler Cap. Secure in position with the two screws.

7. Install 7X-7700 Fuel Filler Cap to the Fuel Tank.
