This article replaces Service Magazine Article; December 19, 1994; SEPD0237; Page 15; "Primary Pressure For The Transmission Control Group Has Been Increased."
Description of Change:
Initial pressure check chart from 9W-9304 Test Instruction.
The transmission primary pressure for stations A, B, and F have been increased. The new pressures are as follows:
- A station, 525 + 50/-35 kPa (76 + 7/- 5 psi);
- B station, 475 + 50/-35 kPa (69 + 7/- 5 psi);
- F station, 450 + 50/-35 kPa (65 + 7/- 5 psi).
- B station, 475 + 50/-35 kPa (69 + 7/- 5 psi);
Increased transmission primary pressure will improve modulation and clutch service life.
NOTE: Transmission primary pressure should be checked at component mid-life as noted in Special Instruction, REHS0082.
Adaptable To: Effective with 784B (5RK) Tractors; 785 (8GB), 785B (6HK), 789B (7EK), 793 (3SJ), 793B (1HL) and 793C (4AR) Off-Highway Trucks equipped with 119-5720, 8E-3840 or 6Y-4257 Transmission Pressure Control Valve Groups.
